2005 Dodge Caravan

The 2005 Dodge Caravan is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure
the safety of the passengers. A group of engineers improved the refinement level
of the 2005 Dodge Caravan, and its important measure of refinement is the area
of noise, vibration and harness where the family communicates and bond with each
other. The 2005 Dodge Caravan is a 4-door, 7-passenger mini van that is available
in two rims, the SE and the SXT. The SE and SXT are equipped differently, if SE
has a standard of 2.4 liter,l4, 150-horsepower that achieves 21-mpg in the city
and27-mpg on highways while SXT has 3.3-liter,V6, 180-horsepower engine that achieves
19-mpg in the city and 26-mpg on highways. Both types have 4-speed automatic transmission
with overdrive.
The engineers in order to enhance the driving experience and communicate overall
vehicle quality improved the refinement level. The noise level of the 2005 Dodge
Caravan proved to be 16% quieter compared to the 2004. By combining computer simulation
techniques with vehicle testing in wind tunnel and on environmental 4-post shakers,
they were able to create the quietest Dodge Caravan. The 2005 Dodge Caravan uses
a Quiet steel technology, a visco-elastic treatment sandwiched between two steel layers to
reduce vibration, road noise and stone impingement. It has also a robotically
applied liquid spray dampener to provide barriers to noise that may enter the
compartment through the roof or floor.
Other feature that makes this as the quietest includes a triple door seals, molded
gaskets, aerodynamically configured roof rack cross bows and a spiraled antenna,
expandable polyurethane foam and baffles and molded silencers were also applied
against road and power train-generated noises. The 2005 Dodge Caravan is a special
vehicle developed for the customers to enjoy the driving experience and being
able to bond and communicate with one another.
